
Pokemon Platinum is a role-playing video game developed by Game Freak and published by Nintendo for the Nintendo DS handheld gaming console. It was released in Japan in 2008, and later in North America, Australia, and Europe in 2009.
The game is set in the Sinnoh region, where the player takes on the role of a young trainer who sets out on a journey to become the Pokemon League Champion. Along the way, the player must capture and train various Pokemon creatures, battle other trainers, and thwart the nefarious plans of the evil Team Galactic.
Pokemon Platinum Starters
In Pokemon Platinum, there are three starter Pokemon that you can choose from at the beginning of the game. They are:
- Turtwig: Turtwig is a Grass-type Pokemon and is known as the Tiny Leaf Pokemon. It has a green body and a brown shell on its back. Turtwig is a slow but powerful Pokemon and evolves into Grotle at level 18, and then into Torterra at level 32. Torterra is a Grass/Ground-type Pokemon and is known as the Continent Pokemon. It has a massive tree growing on its back and is incredibly sturdy.
- Chimchar: Chimchar is a Fire-type Pokemon and is known as the Chimp Pokemon. It has orange fur and a flame on its tail. Chimchar is a fast and agile Pokemon and evolves into Monferno at level 14, and then into Infernape at level 36. Infernape is a Fire/Fighting-type Pokemon and is known as the Flame Pokemon. It has powerful martial arts skills and is one of the fastest Pokemon in the game.
- Piplup: Piplup is a Water-type Pokemon and is known as the Penguin Pokemon. It has a blue body and a white belly. Piplup is a cute and charming Pokemon and evolves into Prinplup at level 16, and then into Empoleon at level 36. Empoleon is a Water/Steel-type Pokemon and is known as the Emperor Pokemon. It has a regal appearance and is one of the most versatile Pokemon in the game.
