Which Gen 6 Starter is The Best
The Gen 6 starters are Chespin, Fennekin, and Froakie. It’s subjective to determine which one is the “best” as it ultimately depends on personal preference and the player’s battle style.
However, here are some general traits and strengths of each starter:
- Chespin: A Grass-type starter with a Defense-heavy stat distribution. It can learn a variety of moves that complement its tanky playstyle, such as Leech Seed, Spikes, and Synthesis.
- Fennekin: A Fire-type starter with a Special Attack-heavy stat distribution. It can learn a range of powerful moves, such as Flamethrower, Psychic, and Solar Beam. Fennekin eventually evolves into the dual Fire/Psychic-type Delphox.
- Froakie: A Water-type starter with a Speed-heavy stat distribution. It can learn a variety of moves that let it outspeed and cripple opponents, such as Toxic Spikes, Taunt, and U-turn. Froakie eventually evolves into the dual Water/Dark-type Greninja, which is known for its powerful Protean ability.
Ultimately, the “best” starter depends on your personal preferences and playstyle. If you enjoy a tanky, defensive playstyle, Chespin may be the best choice. If you prefer a hard-hitting, special attack-based playstyle, Fennekin may be the way to go. And if you like a speedy and strategic playstyle, Froakie may be the ideal choice.
Gen 6 Starter Evolutions
The Generation 6 starter Pokémon are Chespin, Fennekin, and Froakie. Here are their evolutions:
- Chespin evolves into Quilladin at level 16, and then into Chesnaught at level 36.
- Fennekin evolves into Braixen at level 16, and then into Delphox at level 36.
- Froakie evolves into Frogadier at level 16, and then into Greninja at level 36. Greninja also has a unique form known as Ash-Greninja, which it can transform into during battles if it has the ability Battle Bond and is partnered with Ash in the anime.
